In the video course "Role of Governments and Authorities - Summary (G10_2)", we explore how national and international authorities widely influence the field of cybersecurity in the automotive industry and provide a detailed overview of which organizations specifically impact the automotive sector.
In particular, the distinction between governmental and other organizations is also important to better understand the background of what is required on a daily basis.
First, the role and diverse responsibilities of government agencies in cybersecurity are presented in general terms. Then, the most important authorities are presented, especially in Europe (such as ENX Association, ENISA and VDA), the USA (such as Auto-ISAC, NHTSA and SAE) and for the Asia/Pacific region (such as CAC, SAC and others).
Next, we present the most important laws and regulations and the efforts behind them that create legal frameworks that have a direct and far-reaching impact on the field of cybersecurity in the automotive industry.
