The omnipresent challenges of cybersecurity are changing the way goods can and must be manufactured. This does not stop at the multi-layered procedures of vehicle development. OEMs and suppliers must comply with and follow cybersecurity requirements before, during and after development, and of course, during the production of products. In this video course "Production control plan (G5_6)" - based on the requirements of ISO/SAE 21434:2021 - you will learn all about the general conditions regarding cybersecurity measures that need to be considered during production. In the ISO/SAE standard, the proper creation and implementation of a Production control plan is one of the key work products in the section on production (clause 12).
In this video, you will learn everything you need to know about the Production control plan in approximately 15 minutes.
In the first part of the video, we will start by defining in general terms what manufacturing is all about and when the production phase begins and ends in the product lifecycle of a vehicle.
Then, we will talk about what this specific sequence means for OEMs, as well as suppliers in the automotive industry. We will then look in detail at the Production control plan as required by ISO/SAE 21434:2021: What should the plan cover, what contents must it have and what consequences can occur if the Production control plan is neglected? Here you will also learn about other related documents such as the Release for Post-Development report and others.
