Therefore, in this video course “Coding Guidelines, Rules and Standards (G5_7)”, we will take a look at the main differences between guidelines, rules, and standards and deep dive into what standards has to offer.

We will first explain to you how guidelines, rules, and standards are different as well as give you an example for each of them. Then, we will focus on standards, as they encompass rules and guidelines and are the most crucial for a consistent code quality.

In the second part of the video, we will provide you with general details for both coding standards CERT and MISRA and clarify how each works to support the coding process and compare them together. Finally explain why you should apply static code analysis to ensure those coding standards.
